Integrated Quality and Food Safety Policy
LA HUERTA DE ORIENTE S.A.S. is committed to the manufacturing and commercialization of safe food products, using raw materials and supplies and applying manufacturing processes that comply with the food safety standards established by our company within the quality and food safety management system, guaranteeing processes that allow safe preservation throughout all stages of production, in compliance with Colombian and international regulations.
Our purpose is to develop, produce, and commercialize safe, ready-to-eat food products, delivering satisfaction, nutrition, trust, and safety to our consumers through processes of innovation, quality, food safety, efficiency, and service.
To achieve the above, the company, under the direction of management, will designate the necessary resources (financial, human, infrastructure, and technology), establishing internal and external communication mechanisms, guaranteeing the efficient fulfillment of processes with the purpose of offering products and services that comply with legislation and customer requirements, satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations, while always promoting the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System and innovation in the market.
It will be reviewed in order to ensure that it remains relevant to the company and to the fulfillment of its objectives, and it will be updated at least once a year.
Objectives of the Integrated Quality and Food Safety Policy
To prevent, within our processes and products, the main causes of physical contamination and foodborne illness.
To maintain permanent control of PRPs in order to prevent products from acquiring pathogenic microorganisms.
To identify and control the hazards established at each stage of our process in order to minimize the possibility of affecting the safety of our products.
To increase the level of our customers’ satisfaction through the delivery of products and services that comply with the quality and food safety parameters established by La Huerta de Oriente S.A.S., within the agreed timeframes and quantities.
Ensure compliance with the quality and safety requirements of our products and services; through a program of ongoing staff training, as the company’s primary resource.
To reduce the level of returns, complaints, and delivery delays of La Huerta de Oriente S.A.S. products and services in order to improve customer satisfaction.
To keep suppliers evaluated and to purchase only from those with a score above 80.
To strengthen continuous improvement across the different processes of the Integrated Management System through the implementation of improvement actions and the timely closure of any corrective actions that may arise.
Our processes are certified under ISO 22000:2018 standards, as well as under GMP and HACCP guidelines, ensuring control, traceability, and food safety at every stage of production.
